Hysteroscopy means that the doctor uses a special instrument, the hysteroscope, to examine the inside of the woman's uterus. A light cable and a video camera are attached to the hysteroscope so that the doctor can see the inside of the uterus on a screen. When the doctor is only in to examine, it is called diagnostic hysteroscopy.

Additional Information
Sometimes the experiment can be interrupted. If this happens before egg retrieval, you will be reimbursed for part of the treatment. If it happens during or after egg retrieval, the experiment is considered completed.
If sperm donation is required for treatment, there is an additional cost for donor sperm. The price depends on whether you are going to have IVF or insemination treatment, and whether you want to reserve donor sperm for future treatments. One of our donor coordinators will give you more information at the start of the treatment process.
Medication costs are additional and are paid directly to the pharmacy. What it will cost will vary: a woman receiving high doses of FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) will use more than a younger woman who responds well to a lower dose.
A couple of examples of this:
- A woman who needs 350 IU (international units) of FSH every day could end up costing around 15.000,- if you include the injection to block ovulation and the ovulation injection.
- If a woman needs smaller hormone doses, for example 150 IU, we will end up with 10.000 including all medications.
The medications used in supportive treatment will cost between 500 and 1000, depending on the preparation.
The public sector covers medical costs exceeding 20.716,-(2025) under certain criteria, and you can read more about this at Helsenorge.no.

Partial payment and payment deferral
We have an agreement with Svea Finans regarding payment deferral and partial payment.
When you enter into an agreement for treatment with us, you will receive a link via SMS where you can pay by card, choose an invoice, or choose partial payment or deferred payment. For costs over 10 NOK, you can only choose between invoice or partial payment.
You can easily choose over the phone whether you want 3 months of interest-free and installment-free repayment or repayment over 6, 12 or 24 months.
The application requires a credit check, which is done immediately. You can easily apply yourself in peace and quiet, without the clinic being notified if you are rejected. Once the credit check has been approved, you choose the repayment period that suits you best. Both the amount and repayment period can be changed afterwards. Then all that remains is to sign with BankID.
