How does the egg retrieval work? And do I get paid for the strain?

  The eggs are retrieved via an egg retrieval. It is a procedure that takes around 15 minutes and is performed under local anesthesia. The eggs are retrieved from the ovaries using an ultrasound wand with a thin needle through the vagina.
  
  All egg donors receive compensation per egg retrieval. This is stipulated in Norwegian law and amounts to 5% of 1 G (the basic amount in the National Insurance Scheme) per egg retrieval. In addition, documented travel expenses are covered.
