Cell test
The Cancer Registry recommends that all women aged 25 to 70 years have a Pap test every 3 years. By going for screening and taking a Pap test, we can detect cervical cancer. If you take a Pap test with us, you will have it taken by a specialist in gynecology – a person with extensive experience, high competence and in safe and calm surroundings. We have gynecologists in Trondheim, Oslo, Stavanger and Bergen who can help you with this.
When you take a Pap test at Medicus, you also get:
- A gynecological examination to detect signs of disease or changes, and to examine the uterus, ovaries and other organs in the pelvis.
- A vaginal ultrasound examination using modern ultrasound equipment, so that we get good images of the uterus and ovaries.
- Relevant sampling such as a bacterial or chlamydia test. Other times it may be natural to take a hormone or blood test to detect or rule out illness or imbalance in the hormonal system.
You do not need a referral and you can book an appointment online.
