Why do a fertility check?
A fertility check is done to find out if there is a reason why you are not getting pregnant or to gain more knowledge about your current fertility.
After a fertility check, you will know more about why you have not become pregnant and which treatment would be most suitable for you. It can also be used to get a better picture of your current and future fertility for family planning purposes.
What is being investigated?
We always adapt the fertility check to your needs, but normally the fertility check includes:
- Blood tests to assess hormone levels, general health and risk of infection (including AMH and FSH)
- Medical history
- Gynecological examination
- Ultrasound examination of the uterus and ovaries
- Examination of fallopian tube function
This is the process
1. Contact us to make an appointment
We will find a time that suits you and make an appointment when you come to one of our clinics.
2. Blood test
As part of the fertility check, we will examine your hormone levels and this is done through one or more blood tests. These can be taken at our clinic or at your GP or nearest hospital.
3. Consultation and conclusion
You or your partner will come for a consultation with one of our gynecologists. There, you will review your test results and the necessary examinations will be performed in order to be able to provide thorough feedback.
