Fertility assessment · Couples
Answer what influences
their chances – and the way forward
On average, 1 in 6 couples find that it takes longer than expected to get pregnant. The reason may lie with the woman, the man – or in the interaction between you. A fertility assessment provides clear answers and a clear plan for the future.

What is included?
What are we investigating?
A good investigation considers both – and looks at how they affect each other.
Surveys · Women
· Gynecological examination with ultrasound
· Hormone tests (AMH, FSH, LH, TSH etc.)
· Cycle and ovulation charting
· Checking the fallopian tubes (if necessary)
Infectious diseases
Surveys · Men
· Semen sample – concentration, motility, shape
· Hormone tests (if needed)
Examination of genitals (if necessary)
Infectious diseases
Common to both: Conversation with a fertility specialist – review of history, wishes, current methods, timeline and next steps. The goal is that you understand each step and feel confident about the process.
After the investigation
What happens afterwards?
You will receive a clear summary and recommendation - tailored to your specific situation.
Natural experiments
Better insight into the cycle and timing may be sufficient for some.
Help with ovulation problems
If we find problems with ovulation, we try simple tablet treatment. Many women find that the ovaries begin to function normally with simple stimulation.
Insemination (IUI)
First option for certain causes of reduced fertilization.
IVF or ICSI
In vitro fertilization when the findings indicate that the chances are higher with assisted fertilization.
