We opened our first fertility clinic in Trondheim in 2002, and have since contributed to over 2000 children at our clinics in Trondheim, Oslo, Stavanger and Bergen.

We offer all types assisted fertilization which is allowed in Norway, as well as egg freezing and help with ovulation problems. We also accept sperm and egg donors who want to donate to help others fulfill their parenthood dream.

Our fertility clinic in Oslo consists of an international team with extensive experience in fertility and assisted reproduction. In the laboratory, we have 6 skilled embryologists from different parts of the world, led by lab manager Steven Mansell. Steven has a PhD in reproduction, and has done extensive research on male infertility. In addition, all embryologists at Medicus have a master's degree in embryology, a degree that is not possible to obtain in Norway, and they have valuable experience from various fertility clinics abroad. In addition, we have a skilled team of local IVF doctors and nurses who will warmly welcome you.

2. State-of-the-art IVF laboratory

At Medicus Oslo, we opened a brand new and expanded laboratory in 2023. This laboratory is the first laboratory that the supplier Vitrotech has delivered in Norway. Vitrotech is a company that specializes in building IVF laboratories that meet high standards for cleanliness and safety. We also became the first clinic in Norway to install a new air purification system in the laboratory, called LifeAire. The technology of LifeAire helps to remove harmful substances from the air and will thus make an increased contribution to more embryos developing as they should. In addition to this, the laboratory is set up with modern equipment such as Time Lapse incubators, Britannia monitoring system and RI Witness for electronic quality assurance of traceability to each individual cell and tissue.

3. Norway's largest private professional community within assisted fertilization

Medicus has grown to 4 clinics over the past few years and has become the largest private professional community in Norway. We have more than 10 gynecologists and 12 embryologists who work with assisted reproduction and who are in regular contact to continuously improve the quality of everything we do. This means that innovations and improvements that happen somewhere can spread to our other clinics. We are ISO certified according to the standard 9001:2015, the world's most recognized standard for quality management.
