Become a sperm donor · Medicus
You don't need a special reason.
You just have to want to help.
Sperm donation gives involuntarily childless people – couples, two women and single women – the opportunity to have children. It is simple, compensated, and something many donors describe as one of the most meaningful things they have done.

Frequently Asked Questions
You may be wondering…
Here are the questions we hear most often from men considering donating.
Will the child know who I am?
The donation is anonymous to the parents, but open to the child. The child can learn your identity when they turn 15, if they wish. You will not know anything about the child unless they contact you.
Do I have legal responsibility for the child?
No. As a donor, you have no rights or obligations towards the child. Legally, you are not a parent.
Can I donate to friends or family?
No. The law requires that the donor be unknown to the recipients until the child turns 15. Donation to acquaintances is not permitted.
How many children can I give birth to?
You can give birth to a maximum of six children in a family. This is regulated by law and monitored by the sperm bank.
Does it affect my own fertility?
No. Donation does not affect your own fertility in any way.
Can I withdraw?
Yes. You can withdraw your consent right up until fertilization has occurred.
"
I didn't think much about it beforehand, but knowing that someone out there might have had a child because of what I did – it means more than I expected.
