The story of Benjamin
Our Benjamin was born after 5 attempts with the help of the IVF clinic at Medicus. He is our "reference" that we are happy to share with you.
We know what it's like to start the process of getting help to have children. The thoughts, uncertainties and questions surrounding this are many.
Choosing an IVF clinic can be difficult. The goal for all of us who are trying is common: To have a child. And then we want the best treatment. We chose Medicus and we are happy about that! The people at Medicus met our requirements. From day one we were met with seriousness, combined with high competence, understanding and kindness.
We liked each other from the start and felt relaxed and confident in our choice of clinic. Always time for questions and available at all times. We could have written pages and pages about positive experiences at Medicus. We know that the people at Medicus contributed greatly to our ability as a couple to relax and live a fairly normal life during the treatment period.
We hope that you, who are reading this, will be successful, no matter which clinic you choose. Medicus was a good choice for us and we highly recommend them.
It took us a few tries before we succeeded, but the reason we had the courage to try so many times was simply that we felt so well looked after at Medicus that we didn't want to give in. The downs were short, the ups are called Benjamin and he wakes up at five in the morning, has a tooth and rolls around on the floor like a microfiber mop.

The miracle that fills life with new meaning
Today we celebrate seven months since our miracle was born. It was not a given that we would have children, since I was already 42 years old when we sought help. We had no time to waste, and one thing we were sure of: we wanted to try the best in assisted reproduction in Norway, both professionally and in terms of follow-up and communication.
We read a lot online about the advantages and disadvantages of the different methods and decided to visit clinics in Bergen (where we live), Oslo and Stavanger. At Medicus in Stavanger we found a competent, welcoming and committed team who looked into our case and did not treat us like another customer with poor chances due to our age. After a thorough assessment, we received a treatment that was tailored to us, and which was adjusted along the way based on what would work best in our case. Throughout the entire process, we had easy contact with everyone at the clinic and good explanations for everything we were wondering about. But not only that, we also received emotional support and knew that they wanted us to also be able to fulfill our dream of having children.
Looking back, we see how important it was to be in good hands! Thank you to the entire team for this miracle that fills our lives with new meaning.

The feeling of coming “home”
We felt taken care of at the IVF clinic at Medicus from the very beginning. Even though infertility is a difficult topic, we always felt that there was room for a light and nice tone. You also need humor in this, that's our experience!
The intimate atmosphere at Medicus gives the feeling of coming "home" to someone, rather than being in an institution.
Even though we had both ups and downs in treatment, we felt that the support and optimism about being able to succeed were always in focus.

Expecting an October girl
We highly recommend Medicus. We felt welcome and looked after from the first phone call.
We had three withdrawals before we got pregnant, and the support along the way was invaluable. I have the impression that they work very professionally and have a lot of experience with tests. The fact that you could call at any time if you were unsure about something gave us extra security as there is a lot to learn from the start.
Now we are expecting a little girl in October, and we have Medicus to thank for that :)

The reason we chose to have the treatment at Medicus was primarily that there is no waiting time. It quickly became clear to us that we had made the right choice when we already experienced the harmonious environment and the ever-welcoming staff during the examination.
They also have a great sense of humor which made us feel more relaxed about the whole situation. We also feel that it has been very reassuring to know that we have always been able to contact them if we had any questions, even outside of working hours.
No matter what we have wondered, we have been taken seriously, and that means a lot when you go through this treatment. For us, the good follow-up we have received has made a difficult situation a little easier.

Help when we need it
I have experienced treatment in the clinic as highly professional, and have met with a very personal and considerate attitude from the staff. The clinic is welcoming and radiates with a cozy atmosphere that puts visitors at ease.
I have also appreciated the extra touch, and extra service in situations when business couples, such as we are, had to adjust treatments based on our time needs – which happened to collide with the summer holiday season. Yet we have been met with an understanding and help exactly when we needed it. Our mutual efforts finally succeeded on the third attempt, giving birth to a beautiful girl with accompaniments of horn music, flags and parades in the afternoon of May 17th at St. Olav's Hospital.
I would like to warmly recommend Medicus to everybody who might be in need of the services offered.
