Solveig Bakken

About Solveig

Solveig Bakken works as a laboratory technician at Medicus Oslo. She has a bachelor's degree in biology from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) and a master's degree in molecular biology from the University of Oslo.

 

She has previous experience in fertility work and sperm analysis through several summers at Geno, assessing motility and morphology as well as handling and vitrifying sperm. She also has a background in molecular biology research, including work with PCR, RNA, and laboratory routines in an accredited environment.

 

Solveig is committed to safety, quality and meeting patients with respect and warmth. For her, fertility is not just about biology, but also about seeing the people behind it. She often receives feedback that she is caring and precise, and that she helps patients feel seen and cared for.

 

Solveig is committed to women's and reproductive health, and is a board member of the Endometriosis Association. She is committed to professional development and to contributing to a safe and professional environment for both patients and colleagues.
