About Maryam
Maryam Shirzadi is a neurologist with extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological diseases, including epilepsy, headaches, multiple sclerosis, sleep disorders, back pain, neuropathies, Parkinson's disease, stroke, and other acute neurological conditions. Shirzadi has special expertise in epilepsy.
Maryam offers outpatient consultations for patients with all types of neurological issues.
Background
Maryam Shirzadi graduated as a physician at NTNU in 2010, with rotations at Ålesund Hospital and in Surnadal Municipality. She has worked as a physician at the Neurology Department at St. Olavs Hospital since 2012 and as a specialist since 2022. Maryam received her PhD in neurology and epilepsy from NTNU in 2020, and has active research projects in epilepsy, genetics, multiple sclerosis and stroke at NTNU and St. Olavs Hospital.
